Publications

The College's Publishing arm, ACTM Publications, produces a number of relevant and innovative publications for its members. These publications access the broad expertise within tropical medicine available in the College and the region, and include books, periodical publications, proceedings, and newsletters.

  • Annals of The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (previously Technical Series) publishes reviews on various tropical diseases, major historical and scientific events within the College, and position statements and policies.
  • International Directory of Training in Tropical Medicine is published regularly and compiles information on courses and training opportunities in tropical medicine throughout the World.
  • Directory of Research and Development in Tropical Medicine is based on a database of regional research and development activities in tropical medicine.
  • Yearbook of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine is published annually and includes current College activities, transcripts of the Ashdown Oration and Convocation Address, and office bearers, as well as a membership directory.
  • Proceedings of ACTM Annual/other Scientific Meetings are regularly published.
  • ACTM Bulletin is the official College newsletter and is published quarterly.
  • Jellyfish Newsletter, the official publication of the International Consortium for Jellyfish Stings, is supplied to ACTM and Consortium members as a supplement to the ACTM Bulletin.
  • Other publications include historical books, textbooks and directories, such as Malaria: The Australian Experience and the Asia-Pacific Safety Directory.
