Associate Professor Colleen Lau
Associate Prof Colleen Lau is a clinician with special interest in travel medicine and infectious disease epidemiology. She is currently based at the Department of Global Health at the Research School of Population Health, Australian National University. In addition to her medical qualifications and FRACGP, she holds a Certificate of Travel Health (ISTM), Master of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, and a PhD in infectious disease epidemiology.
Colleen’s research interests include travel medicine, emerging infectious diseases, and neglected tropical diseases. Her travel medicine research has included studies on travel vaccines, malaria prophylaxis, and the health and wellbeing of travellers. Other areas of research expertise include the eco-epidemiology of leptospirosis and lymphatic filariasis elimination in the Pacific Islands.
