Dr Jennifer Sisson

Dean of the Faculty of Travel Medicine

Dr Sisson trained as a General Practitioner, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997, and at this time also began working in travel medicine. She became the Medical Director of The Travel Doctor TMVC Perth in 2007.

 She has extensive experience in all aspects of Travel Medicine and is passionate about what she does. Her areas of special interest include all travel related medicine but particularly complicated or complex cases; post travel illness; corporate travel medicine, particularly pre-deployment and offshore, as well as diving medicine.

Dr Sisson completed a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2007 at James Cook University and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM) in 2010. She is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Travel Medicine of the ACTM. Dr Sisson lectures at Curtin University teaching medical students, trains GP’s in travel medicine, lectures widely and has presented at many travel medicine conferences both within Australia and overseas. She has also co-authored several publications in travel medicine.
