Dr Sarah McGuinness is an infectious diseases physician based in Melbourne, Australia. She leads the Travel Medicine service at The Alfred Hospital and is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University. Her areas of expertise include clinical travel medicine, vaccine-preventable diseases, vector-borne diseases and decision support tools. Her research focuses on reducing preventable infections in travellers and other at-risk populations.

Sarah is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Travel Medicine and chairs the Digital Communications Committee of the International Society of Travel Medicine. She’s also a member of the ISTM Travel Unravelled podcast team.
