Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases, which is an international journal listed on PubMed, Scopus, Emerging Sources Citation Index and other international databases with opportunities for members to publish and propose special issues. We encourage members to contribute an article to our Journal.
30% discount on Article Processing Charge
ACTM members receive a 30% discount on Article Processing Charge (Institutional Open Access Program discount) if they submit to Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease Journal. Authors will need to provide a discount code which can be located by logging into the MyACTM portal.
Southern Cross Australasian Travel & Tropical Medicine Conference (SCTMC)
The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM) proudly hosts the Southern Cross Australasian Travel & Tropical Medicine Conference (SCTMC) annually, featuring parallel streams dedicated to the latest developments in Tropical Medicine and Travel Medicine.
This highly sought-after event continues to grow each year, attracting both local and international expert speakers. The program covers a diverse range of topics including travel vaccinations, malaria and prophylaxis, emerging disease outbreaks, medicines and medical care abroad, health considerations for the older traveller, neglected tropical diseases, vector-borne illnesses, vaccine-preventable diseases, and clinical case studies—plus much more.
SCTMC offers an invaluable opportunity for education, collaboration, and networking with professionals from across Australasia and beyond.

The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM) delivers regular webinars on a wide range of medical topics relevant to our members. As a member, you’ll also enjoy exclusive access to all webinar recordings after each event, allowing you to learn at your convenience.
Anyone with an interest in travel and/or tropical medicine is welcome to register via email, even if you are not a member of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM).
All members will receive notification via email, including the event access link.

Collaborative network
The College is the premier body in tropical medicine in Australasia, and is recognised by the International Federation for Tropical Medicine. We welcome members from all disciplines related to tropical medicine, including clinicians, medical scientists, veterinary scientists, laboratory experts, and researchers. Complimentary membership is offered to postgraduate students.
Expert and professional groups
The College supports expert and professional groups in travel medicine, expedition and wilderness medicine, One Health, toxinology, medical parasitology and disaster health, as well as engagement between the travel industry and travel health.
College awards, honours and scholarships
The ACTM supports an extensive awards and honours program for our members.
In addition to this, the College wishes to support scientific research, and we are advanced in our planning to award an annual grant to early career researcher to present their findings to our annual ACTM Southern Cross Australasian Travel and Tropical Medicine Conference.

To keep members informed and engaged, we offer a range of regular communications and professional development opportunities. These include the President’s Communiqué newsletter, informative and educational CPD webinars, member networking events, and consistent updates through emails and across our social media channels and website. Members also benefit from our annual conference, providing valuable opportunities for learning, collaboration, and connection within the industry.

The College is committed to supporting the United Nations SDGs and we do what we can to make a difference, including drawing on a greater scientific collaboration between the medical, health and veterinary fields, especially through the One Health, One World approach.
