Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases, which is an international journal listed on PubMed, Scopus, Emerging Sources Citation Index and other international databases with opportunities for members to publish and propose special issues. We encourage members to contribute an article to our Journal.

ACTM Members gets 30% discount on Article Processing Charge

ACTM members gets 30% discount on Article Processing Charge (Institutional Open Access Program discount) if they submit to Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease Journal. Authors will need to provide a discount code which can be located by logging into the MyACTM portal.

Annual Southern Cross Australasian Travel & Tropical Medicine Conference (SCTMC)

We hold an annual Southern Cross Travel and Tropical Medicine Conference (SCTMC) with parallel streams in fields related to Tropical Medicine and Travel Medicine.

The event is highly sought after with both local and international guest speakers, covering topics such as travel vaccinations, Malaria, Prophylaxis, disease outbreaks, medicines and medical care abroad, issues for the older traveller, neglected tropical diseases, Malaria, clinical case studies, vector-borne diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases and much more, offering an invaluable educational and networking opportunity.

Monthly educational Webinars

ACTM hosts regular webinars on medical subjects of interest for our members. As a member you can access all recordings after the event.

Collaborative network

The College is the premier body in tropical medicine in Australasia, and is recognised by the International Federation for Tropical Medicine. We welcome members from all disciplines related to tropical medicine, including clinicians, medical scientists, veterinary scientists, laboratory experts, and researchers. Complimentary membership is offered to postgraduate students.

 

Expert and professional groups

The College supports expert and professional groups in travel medicine, expedition and wilderness medicine, One Health, toxinology, medical parasitology and disaster health, as well as engagement between the travel industry and travel health.

 

College awards, honours and scholarships

The ACTM supports an extensive awards and honours program for our members.

In addition to this, the College wishes to support scientific research, and we are advanced in our planning to award an annual grant to early career researcher to present their findings to our annual ACTM Southern Cross Australasian Travel and Tropical Medicine Conference.

 

Communications and updates

To keep members up to date we have a regular publication of the President’s Communique newsletter, regular informative and educational CPD webinars, member networking events, regular social media and website updates and our annual conference.

The College is committed to supporting the United Nations SDGs and we do what we can to make a difference, including drawing on a greater scientific collaboration between the medical, health and veterinary fields, especially through the One Health, One World approach.
