This annual conference hosted by the Faculty of Tropical Medicine for The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (ACTM) brings together experts in travel and tropical medicine.  The conference provides an opportunity to network and learn from leading experts in the field through the program and the social events.

The ACTM Executive Team invites you to engage in the 8th Southern Cross Australasian Travel and Tropical Medicine Conference program that offers plenary and panel sessions and interactive workshops that will bring together experts with the latest research.

Some topics that will be explored are:

Travel Medicine

• Travel vaccinations, Malaria, Prophylaxis, Disease Outbreaks, medicines and medical care abroad, issues for the older traveler and more.

Tropical Medicine

• Neglected tropical diseases, Malaria, clinical case studies, vector-borne diseases, vaccine-preventable diseases.

If you are an ACTM Member, your membership rewards you with a 10% discount on conference registration. 

Full conference registration includes the two-and-a-half-day educational conference and the Welcome Reception on Friday evening.

Saturday night you are free to spend an evening connecting with travel and tropical medicine friends and colleagues.

 Cancellation policy:

• 100% refund less $70 processing fee before early bird 31 May 2025.
• 50% refund less $70 processing fee up between 01 June and 23 August 2025.
• No refunds for cancellations after 24 August 2025.
• If you have purchased a ticket, but are unable to attend, we are happy to allow transfer of registration to another attendee.

Students will be required to present their Student ID at the registration table.
